Every October during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the country unites to spread knowledge and show support for those affected by breast cancer. Here at Vanilla Gift, we are proud to partner with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to make a difference in the fight against this devasting disease that has affected the lives of millions of people. The Importance of Breast Cancer Research
The most prevalent kind of cancer in women is breast cancer: almost three-hundred thousand women will be diagnosed this year alone. A woman is given a breast cancer diagnosis somewhere in the world every fourteen seconds, according to BCRF. These figures demonstrate the pressing need for more research to be done in order to prevent, treat, and save lives from breast cancer.
Vanilla Gift’s Partnership with BCRF
Vanilla Gift is a firm believer in the power of teamwork and supporting philanthropic causes by giving back. We are pleased to collaborate with BCRF, the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide, for this reason. To deepen knowledge of breast cancer and enhance treatment options, BCRF leads ground-breaking research everyday thanks to donations from individuals and organizations all around the world.
In 2019, Vanilla Gift launched two BCRF sponsored Visa gift card designs. Since then, 100% of the purchase fees of these two cards (both available as an eGift card or regular plastic gift card) are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation all year round.
By helping fund BCRF, you are putting money into the brightest brains in science and encouraging interdisciplinary research to look at every facet of breast cancer, from metastasis to prevention. Although there is no simple cure for the complex disease of breast cancer, research holds the key to halting its progression.
